More good news
No permanent joint damage in my hand, according to my X-ray.
Relieved. Hopefully medication can prevent the damage and stop the pain.

I woke up, ready to create change in my life
Having a positive attitude really attracts opportunities.
But first, it might attract a Suburban backing up into your Element.
Luckily the hitch just ran into my wheel. (See? Positivity! Though I may not be so upbeat when I deal with the insurance company.)
In any case, I’m excited about living life freely. I’m excited to ride bikes, eat brunch, downsize possessions, run miles,...

Bible Trivia sore loser
Josiah: Do you know how long Jesus was in the tomb?
Celeste: No.
Josiah: If we're ever cornered into a game of Bible Trivia, you're not on my team.
Celeste: ...
Josiah: Yes, that is a game. And yes, I did own it as a child.
Celeste: ...
Josiah: Are you tumbling that? I know you too well.

That awesome moment when
A student asks you to translate a passage from The Inferno … and you amaze the class with your Italian skills.
The first and only time I’ll randomly use my Italian degree.

Life is not over. I have so much to be thankful for, and I will never forget that.
Running with best friends, making new ones, apples with PB, the most supportive family in the world, homemade baked goods, inspirational books, the tubbiest terrier and my gentle, loving husband.
Everything is going to be OK.

The past 7 hours
Have been challenging.
When I found out my diagnosis, I sat in a parking lot and cried for 30 minutes. That was fun.
Ever since then, I’ve been battling to get an appointment with the referred rheumatoid arthritis specialist.
The “new patient coordinator” has yet to call me back to set up an appointment. Seven hours later.
And apparently the first visit is a thorough...

My rejuvenating weekend
Five minutes ago, I decided I was going to have the best weekend ever. Here’s what I have planned:
Sleeping in tomorrow (until 8!!!) before work
Read two books (preferably in bed or outside)
Runs with Allie and Kelsey
Dinner with Brittany
Coffee with Chelsea
Spending as much time outside as possible (on the patio, walking in my neighborhood, at the part, whatever)
Getting my ass...

High five!
I just scored a contract to create a monthly newsletter for a physical therapy franchise.
Content management is my favorite, and I absolutely love writing for the PT industry.
Obviously I’m thrilled to have a new monthly project.

Afternoon workout
I copied Allie and did a Live Fit inspired workout this afternoon. (This morning I did some bike + abs.)
I ended up running 5 miles, and it was way more fun than straight treadmill running. I’ll definitely be incorporating these workouts into my weekly training. In the future though, I’m going to do a 40:20 run to rest ratio. 30 seconds was a bit too long to wait, but I didn’t...

Seven beautiful Easter miles.
The last time I ran longer than four miles: eight on January 27.
I really think this is the rebirth of my running. My foot is pain free, and my mind is clear. What more could I ask for on this perfect Easter Sunday?

Finding motivation.
In general, I am an extremely motivated person. I’ve always had goals, and I’ve always reached them—especially in my academic, professional and fitness life.
But when it comes to eating well, I just cannot become/stay motivated. I’m not sure why.
Eating well will make me feel better.
Eating well will make me healthier.
Eating well will make me look better.
