First and foremost, LEGS! Mine are coming right along, if I do say so myself. I haven’t really been doing much leg work, so I think I can ramp that up a bit.
Second, IT’S HOT! The run there was a bit chilly (and windy), but running home got a bit toasty. Can’t you tell by my red face? Bless your heart, Arizona. I can’t wait to get up at 4:30 to run in the summer mornings.
Third, NEGATIVE SPLITS! I am a master of running my hardest (and fastest, by a lot) at the end of runs.
- There: 2.5 mi, 9:01 pace
- Gym: Arms + core
- Back: 2.5 mi, 8:11 pace
P.S. - 5 miles is the most I’ve run since my half and then injury debacle. I can’t wait to break that threshold and kick some butt.
