Week 10 Challenge: Eat more protein
For this week’s challenge, I’m going to up the protein ante.
Lately, I’ve been eating a lot of carby junk, and boy does it taste good. But, turns out instant oatmeal and popcorn don’t have many nutrients. Surprise!
I think my main source of protein right now is froyo. OK, I’m kidding. A little.
I’m not going to be tracking my protein intake (since I’m trying to walk away from logging), but I will make a conscious effort to eat more protein, especially for breakfast and snacks. More eggs, yogurt, beans, edamame and lean meats pleaseeee. Maybe I’ll even pick up some protein powder, since I haven’t had any in a few months.
I just made a hella bomb chicken chili with 1,204 red peppers, black beans and garbanzo beans (among other things). That’ll definitely boost my protein for the next couple of days.
